![]() ![]() Malekith is a mighty leader with great loyalty from his subservient lords, as long as they stay loyal, of course. You have the choice to play as either the vengeful Malekith or his exiled mother Morathi, in the North or South of Naggaroth respectively. If you wish to go for the domination victory when playing as Dark Elves, be prepared to steamroll through the other factions as diplomacy isn’t necessarily the best option. This comes into play during the Eye of the Vortex campaign – to win, the Dark Elves must either complete all the rituals and win the Final Battle, or destroy their rival factions and maintain control of 50 provinces. They have been ruled throughout their long history by Malekith, the Witch King.ĭiplomacy doesn’t come naturally to Dark Elves: they are a cruel people devoted to the pursuit of bloody warfare and conquest is much more instinctive to them. ![]() ![]() Banished from Ulthuan, the spiteful and wicked Dark Elves plot the demise of their former brethren from Naggaroth, their home continent. Either way they will always be a dying race (with no word on how the High Elves or Dark Elves replenish their numbers for these huge wars with each other).Millennia have passed since the Dark Elves, or Druchii In the Elven tongue, violently split from the High Elves. Gav Thorpe, a writer that worked on Warhammer Fantasy, is quite notorious for stating "there are as many elves as the plot demands." In one story they can write off the death of a million during a grand victory, but in the next the death of a hundred is a tragedy from which their race will never recover. Their infighting and squabbling, not to mention the yearly khainite mass executions of both slaves and Delves alike, should have wiped them out long ago. You speak of plot armor saving Teclis from the Dark Elves, while neglecting to mention the fact that the entire Dark Elf culture is kept alive solely by plot armor. Malekith both had a chance to get his father's sword ( wich he did not do just turning away after looking at it and deeming it not worth ), and destroying Ulthuan ( with HE wining at Funival planes after loosing their army, only by superior plot armor of Lileath transfering enough power to Teclis to make his spell work without blasting his head off from overcasting ).
